Comparing yours to these high quality holsters, yours just shines in terms of attention to details. All the way from the quality of the hide, stitching, the height and shape of the body shield, how the mouth is slanted for easy reholstering. I like the fit, snug, but not tight. Just amazing. I just acquired a “certified pre-owned” (actually looks like Never Used) Southern Sidekick for my Bersa Thunder.380.
Perfect fit, and it also likes my Tisas Fatih (Turkish clone of the Beretta 81/84 series). Excellent workmanship, beautifully made and very comfortable- even sitting in my car.

I've carried holsters from all of the big names and several of the lesser known makers. None of them hold a candle to this one. This holster is perfection in every way. The fit, finish, quality, style... what can I say? I was even more impressed when I slid that Sig P365 Macro into the holster. You have to experience it to appreciate it! The fit is like nothing you'll ever get from plastic or a store bought mass produced holster. It's worth every penny.

I received my new holster yesterday. Very nicely done!
Having carried for more than 30 years I have many custom leather holsters for a variety of firearms.
I plan to start wearing the holster tomorrow as I am in and out of NYS yesterday and today. Cannot carry here.
I put my DW 1911 in the plastic bag the holster arrived with, and holstered the firearm last night. Removed the bag this morning and as expected the firearm fits nice and snug with good retention.
Keep up the good custom work. I will send you a few pics tomorrow for your website.

I see now I should of took your advice and went with a smaller indian Nickel Concho, but that's OK, I still love it!!!
It is a classic!! It will probably be more of a show piece than anything, but I can tell that this is a well built sheath and if well taken care of, can be actually used for a very long time. I attach some pics below!!

Just a note to tell you how pleased I am with the leather goods you made for me. The vintage stain work was just what I had hoped for - lots of variations and highlighting/shading, but not gaudy. The holsters are both very snug as they should be to start out, but I've started them out with a plastic bag inside for now and am sure they will wear into a great fit.

Ryan,
Just wanted to give you an update on my paddle holster. It has been on
my hip since I I received it. It is extremely comfortable, and having
the cant that I want is definitely a plus. Despite your concerns about
it being further from the hip than a conventional OWB holster it works
for me since I wear untucked loose fitting shirts. This holster will be
my winter holster, and the SSR for summer use.

Just wanted to give you an update on my paddle holster. It has been on
my hip since I I received it. It is extremely comfortable, and having
the cant that I want is definitely a plus. Despite your concerns about
it being further from the hip than a conventional OWB holster it works
for me since I wear untucked loose fitting shirts. This holster will be
my winter holster, and the SSR for summer use.

You probably hear this all the time but I have to thank you for doing such a great job on my City Slicker II and Southern Man II holsters. At first glance, they looked a lot like some of my Galco holsters but after fitting my firearm into them and carrying them, I realize your attention to detail and experience actually carrying puts them in a category of their own.
Perfect fit, great retention, room for 1911 safety in safe position and ride is just right. Great work and many thanks. I wish I had found out about you

I received a Grizzle Leather standard cowhide field holster in January 2018 for a Ruger SP101 revolver with the intent of using it for concealed carry. However, I was sidetracked and used a different pistol for concealed carry, putting the Grizzle holster aside until this past week. I took the Grizzle holster out of storage and started using the Ruger revolver for concealed carry. I recently took a long hike in the Pike National Forest with the Ruger revolver in the Grizzle holster. The carry was so comfortable that I forgot I was wearing a revolver and several times I checked to ensure I still had the revolver. Not only is the Grizzle holster a beautiful piece of work, it makes concealed carry unobtrusive and extremely comfortable. It also is comfortable carrying the revolver while driving. I intend to order Grizzle holster for another pistol in the very near future.

Not sure if I communicated with you, that I am a buyer in the firearms industry with holsters being one of my categories. As such, I have a lot of exposure to several manufacturers and many of them offering up samples for me to bring in their products.
When I decided to go with the Glock 43, I was very specific in the type of holster I was looking for. Previously, I carried the Galco Side Snap Scabbard, however they do not offer this for the G43. Added that I wanted to put an optic on the firearm. Obviously, I could not go with a major manufacturer for my wish list.
This is where you came in to play as I found your website. Although I am not accustomed to paying for retail on holsters, I knew that in order to get what I wanted, this would not be an option.
Today I received the holster, and the quality, fit, and redesign to accommodate the optic, I can simple tip my hat and convey a job well done. Should I ever need another custom holster, I will reach back out to you.

The Sig P226 with Red Dot took about a week stuffed inside the thick plastic bag inside the Georgia Snap 2 holster, and now is slick to holster and to draw. The spot you made for the single-action safety is perfect. The safety stays engaged and is not noticeable. Your holster reminds me of the quality that Lou Alessi produced when he was alive and well. I am hoping that you will quote me a double-magazine pouch made of the same leather style you used to make this holster. Also, please quote an SDR for a S&W 3913TSW if possible, again with a double-mag pouch. Mahogany, lined inside if possible.

I purchased a High County holster from you a couple of months ago now for my S&W 4” EMP 9mm. I just wanted to let you know that it’s easily one of the best holsters I ever purchased. I even have to say it’s one of the best purchases I’ve made dealing with anything to do with my weapons. It is the most comfortable holster I’ve ever used. I love how close it holds the weapon to my waist. Even for an OWB, I feel it is better at concealment than some if not most of the IWB Kydex holsters I have. I can wear it all day along with the double magazine holder with no problems. I feel bad because I used to carry different guns off and on, but all I carry now is the EMP because the holsters is so nice. Granted, it does help that the EMP is a single stack vs double which is what my others mostly are. But it’s summer, and I’m carrying an OWB holster with shorts and a t-shirt and it’s very difficult to tell I’m carrying a weapon.
So, KUDOS to you! I’m hoping to look into additional holsters from you just so I can carry some of my other guns again.

No reviews or endorsements regarding your handiwork I have found on the internet do your work justice. You are truly a craftsman. They are outstanding! Both holsters were well worth the wait. I feel bad about putting them in service as I do not want to scar or mark them but I want to show them off so I guess I will have to start wearing them.
Both guns fit the holsters perfectly. I am hopeful they will loosen somewhat as I wear them as they hold the guns very tightly. So glad I went with the reinforced mouth option, really liking that feature. I could not be happier or any more satisfied, thank you sir! You have gained another customer and an enthusiastic referral. I most certainly will post pictures of my new holsters on the gun forums I subscribe and follow. I'll forward some photos to you also if you'd like to put them in your gallery.

I received my holster yesterday, and all I can say is THANK YOU! It's a great holster and I appreciate you expediting my order. I was able to get a holster that actually fits my EMP (I've tried many before this). Even though the EMP is a 1911, it is slightly different and traditional 4" 1911 holsters do not work (in my opinion).

I received my 3 single mag pouches the other day and I would like to thank you. Ryan your craftsmanship is outstanding and I was surprised how flawless the leather is. I have to decide on the next gun I will order a holster for and when I do I will contact you for help in deciding the details. I really want a Sig P365 but until they work out the problems I have to wait, maybe another month or so.

Gear arrived. Very nice. Belt loops are tight to say the least but no worries. I'm leaving it attached to a belt for maybe 4-5 days and that may help it stretch and break in. Great work.

A good, properly-fit holster is essential.
Yesterday, I went hiking. As our trail crossed a park road, it first opened into a parking area. 18"-high wooden posts sunk into the ground served to deter motorists from taking their automobiles down the hiking trail. These posts' colors blended in nicely with the fallen autumn leaves blanketing the ground.
I was, at this moment, Tail-End Charlie for our group of 14. The people immediately in front of me followed the lead of those in front of them, and split to go around the post. I never saw it.
Nobody saw me, either. I am confident that my feet were at least five feet up in the air. They heard the 'THUD,' though, and that is why they turned back to help me to my feet. I had been walking at a normal pace, and wearing a backpack. I landed on my hands & arms.
Nothing broken, nothing sprained, my knee is a bit sore.
My knife stayed in its sheath, and my Kimber Stainless II remained firmly in position in my R. Grizzle Working Man holster.

When one makes something out of Leather it’s an art form that generally doesn’t come easy. It tends to be a lot of work and you have to get things right with very little margin for error. Which leads me to the folks at R Grizzle Leather. I just received the holster I ordered from them and I must say over the years I like no doubt many others have tried different types of firearm holsters. And I’m sure we all have had our favorites, but I must say the folks at Grizzle holsters know what they are doing and they do it very well. When you see one of these holsters you know quickly they give great attention to detail, form and function. These holsters are very well made and will last you a long time. When I called to talk to Mr Grizzle when ordering, both he and his wife were very helpful and knowledgeable on there products. They have been making holsters for a long time and the experience shows. Great customer service, friendly and efficient, again they know what they’re doing. If you give them a try you won’t be disappointed. Oh and one other thing, they use the best Leather you can get for holsters, and I will be a repeat customer in the future!!

I really like the smaller footprint of the SMR2 and your double loop design is secure. The G26 and my S&W Model 19 both matched to my Grizzle SMR2 are my favorite, most used, most comfortable rigs. Like many, I've tried and own a large amount of leather holsters, your SMR2 is my favorite.
The knife sheath is perfect! Appreciate the ability to actually wear it concealed when desired. And thank you for the leather lanyard!!! It was the perfect touch and a functional aide or handle. Thank you for suggestion and flexibility to tweak your design, it's even better than I had imagined.

I ordered a horsehide G2 with elephant trim holster, horsehide mag carrier, knife and sheath. All are of great quality. I now wish I would have gotten a horsehide belt. So will probably be calling soon.

I have just received both the Georgia Snap 2 and the Countryboy holsters. The detail of the ostrich leg reinforcement is exceptional, both holsters are beautiful, the look and feel are beyond my expectations.
Ryan - the Sig P320 X Carry fits in the Countryboy nicely.

I am really into "cross draw" holsters. They make perfect sense to me for a lot of different reasons. But I am also...left handed!
That really limits an already limited availability of "cross draw" holsters!
While doing a pretty serious search for one, I came across Ryan and Kay's videos on Youtube. Am I glad that I did.
I read over their website, decided what I wanted, and contacted them. The rest...is history. I received my "2" left handed "cross draw" holsters a few days ago. Wow.
You can definitely tell that these holsters are HAND MADE. REAL CRAFTSMANSHIP. I purchased one for my Glock 17 and another for my Smith & Wesson Mdl. 19 .357 revolver.
Both good sized guns. I asked Ryan to put as much "cant" degree into the holsters as possible. It's the way that I like them.
They came, I immediately put the guns in them....and tried them on. PERFECT. NO EXCUSES. EXACTLY ....WHAT I WANTED.....AND BETTER!
I recommend the Grizzles to anyone. I will buy more holsters from them. There is a wait to get them....but like anything that is hand made....QUALITY takes time.
They are definitely worth it.

I can't tell you how pleased I am with my latest holster combination. I haven't had a chance to take any photos as it's hardly been out of service. I never thought of myself as a wheel gun kind of guy, boy have I been missing out. Love it! Excellent workmanship!!! Love the lined surface. Thanks a bunch for the antique pin. The sewn belt loop is perfect! I couldn't be happier. The short grip and small holster is the most comfortable set up to wear seated in the car.

Just wanted to let you know it was worth the short wait to get a great quality holster. I am totally impressed with the SSR holster for my P938. It is compact, beautiful and the most versatile and comfortable IWB I have worn and I have a few. The others are for sale or collecting dust. I can't believe how concealable this rig is, I wear business casual daily and have no concerns of printing or showing. I have cut off and rounded the clip strut below the hole I use, made a big difference, if others haven't done that I would suggest they do.

Even though I am fairly new to the "carry" world, it is in my nature to seek out high end products in all of my endeavors, and I believe it is worth spending more for the best. I already had tried another manufacturer before discovering Ryan and his family operation, and while I can't disparage the other - expensive- holster I purchased for another gun, the GS2 I got from R Grizzle is the "perfect" rig for my P938. It is very well made, very fine quality, very attractive, and holds the gun up against my side almost weightlessly. The zero degree cant I asked for - (I anticipated using it for cross-draw on occasion) - actually helps present the grip for a strong side draw..."perfectly". Already placed another order from them. Thanks, guys.

That holster and belt just popped in here after the USPS took about four days to carry it from Atlanta to ST. Paul. Anyway, if that rig were any nicer we wouldn't any of us be able to stand it!!
The holster fits tight on the belt, the gun fits tight in the holster and the belt fits me in the middle hole. Additionally, when I orient the rig like intend to wear it: buckle in the middle; holster in the appendix position, the gun cuddles right up against my side with the grip lying flat against me as well. On the draw the gun releases in the first 1/8th inch.
The workmanship is superb AND it looks good.
You should look in the SIG forum in the next couple of days for pictures and kudos.

I received my new holster and magazine carrier late last week. First impression was WOW! I love the holster leather with the range scar across the middle and the scar on the mag carrier to match. I really didn't expect to get that lucky, since that was probably not a typical special request.
The holster is, by far, the most comfortable I have worn. I don't have a lot to compare it to, but there have been a few over the years. I can easily see me forgetting it's there when walking. It is even VERY comfortable while driving. That has never happened before, as I am a big boy. I don't know how you do it and I don't care. I just like it!
Thank you for the attention to my desires. You have fully met my expectations. (I won't say exceeded because, after reading all the reviews and comments at various places online, I had VERY high expectations, and you fully met them.)

It fits the pistol like a glove and it feels good on my waist.

I received the holster today. I wanted to say Kudos to you. I really like the Southern Draw design. The tab in the rear and high cant angle work very well to pull the grip of the gun into my side to keep it from printing.

I purchased your great looking tuckable IWB holster for my SIG P229 a year ago, and I am pleased with it. The stitching, leather finishing, and hand boning are first class. It is very cool and comfortable. I like the rough side out on the back (no more shifting), and the extended tab to prevent the slide and hammer from digging into my side. I have secure retention of my pistol and it is easy to draw and reholster with one hand. It is incredible how well this holster fits, performs, and it looks. I will definitely purchase another holster for my next pistol and recommend your holsters to others.

I just wanted to let you know that I have been carrying my M&P Shield 40 in the pocket holster you made for me for a couple of months now and I couldn't be happier. After a week or so of carry it was broken in to where it is still a secure fit but draws quickly and the holster stays in my pocket. The ergonomics are perfect and it is beautifully made. I have 2 other holsters for the Shield and like a lot of other gear mistakes I have made they now reside in my holster drawer with the rest of my "it seemed like a good idea at the time" holsters. Thanks for a great product.

Also, thank you for being willing to purchase the CZ P01 blank so that you could make the holster for my CZ Custom Pro-Tec II. There was some concern as to whether there would be fit issues, given the modifications that CZ Custom made to the base CZ. My answer is that there were no issues what so ever.

I received the shark holster quickly and in good shape. My avocation is boot making, my vocation is engineering, I paid my way through college working in a Tandy Leather store, I've been doing leather work for about 58 years now, and I am VERY critical of leatherwork. I only tell you these things as backdrop to letting you know that your holster is a very nice piece of work.
I mentioned when I spoke with Kay that I worked a few years for Don Atkinson to learn how to make cowboy boots. Don made boots and saddles commercially form age 16 until his death at 82. That career was interrupted only long enough for him to do combat service in Korea and operate his own restaurant. He was a great and humble gentleman, a champion cowboy, and truly a master (some say legendary) boot and saddle maker. He learned the trade under another legend, Monroe Veach. Their credentials are well known in the world of boots and saddles. Don used to smile at me, wink, and say, "I've never worked a day in my life, I just make boots and saddles." He was a genuine guy and great friend.
Anyway, possibly the highest praise I ever received from anyone for doing anything was that day that Don finally looked at my work, grinned, winked, and quietly said, "It'll do." Well Ryan, I have used your holster for a little while now and am pleased to report that it is (1) functional, (2) comfortable to wear, and (3) beautiful to look at: "the Big 3." I really had a hard time convincing myself that the higher expense would be worth it. Boy was I wrong. I think I'll actually save money because I'm "done in one." Historically, I've bought off the shelf leather for a bit less, but I've always ended up buying 2 or 3 of those before I find one I can live with.

I received my new holster for my MP Shield and it is just a work of art. I can not believe how well the gun sits in the holster...with a snap like its formed for machined! Yet, the draw is perfect...even this new. The workmanship is stunning, and the holster sits nicely tight up against my hip. I am sure I will get many years of use from the holster. Fine job!!

I ordered a HC (High Country) for my XDs and have received it, and I have to tell you that was one of the finest holsters I have ever had, trust me I have tons of holsters (ask my wife LOL). This holster fit my XDs like a glove and the quality and craftsmanship was remarkable. I loved the holster so much I have ordered CB (Country Boy) for my LC9, again thanks for your fine quality and craftsmanship, also I should mention that the HC rides close to the body and I never had any problems with printing what so ever while carrying my XDs.

As you know I have been looking for a holster for my Colt Mustang Pocketlite. I have really spent a lot of time on the internet looking for one - not too many out there. I did finally find a custom holster maker that had the Colt in his gun list so I order it. I got it really quickly - in just over a week - it's a Workin Man style.
When I received your holsters, my wife and I immediately noticed the quality. Your leather is thick, well-shaped to the gun, strong, and tight fitting - leaving a break in period where the holster will mold further to the gun making it comfortable, positive fitting, and easy to draw. The die color and finish are deep and high quality and they just look great. I especially like my XDs 45 in your Workin Man holster. If you remember we bought 5 holsters and a couple mag holders - it too a couple of months to get them - but it was well worth the wait. I don't know anything about making holsters - but I know quality. I don't know what you know about leather, how to work with it, how to stiffen it, how to color it, but I know you make great holsters. Whatever you do - you do it right - you do the extra - just a bit better leather, just a bit better thread, just a bit better fit - and that's the difference - well done!
I will continue to check your website for the Colt Mustang Pocketlite to make it to your gun list - I still need a holster for it -

I just got the Town and Country 2 for the Sig 2022 and I am very pleased with the craftsmanship and fit. The holster fits like a glove and the cant is perfect for minimizing grip printing on what many consider to be a bulky pistol. I had purchased two holsters while waiting on the T&C2 and have barely used either since comfort or functionality was compromised...and the 2022 collected dust in the interim. Excellent work and I have already spread the word with some friends at work. I'll try to post a mini review and some pics on some of the forums since there are probably other folks looking for a nice IWB for the Sig 2022.

I've carried a full sized Sig for a year now with an R Grizzle "Georgia Snap" he custom made for me. As a retired Chief in the Coast Guard I've carried for 30 years now, used many, many off the shelf holsters and none of them ever held a candle to an R Grizzle holster. I can wear this holster under an untucked polo or Hawaiian shirt comfortably all day and you'll never know, and I like having the firepower of a weapon I'm trained with - a full sized larger caliber weapon, at my disposal. I've also had the pleasure to meet him and his family, and as a family owned and operated business I can attest to the quality, comfort, ride height, form/fit/finish his holsters are - they are TOP NOTCH. Bravo Zulu R Grizzle Holsters!!!

Your craftsmanship with leather is truly an art form with fit and finish being so much more than I would have imagined. Cannot think any of the other custom holster makers doing better or higher quality work. As promised it was tight at first but after placing the pistol in the bag and letting it sit overnight I was able to quickly arrive at the perfect fit-snug but will not free itself.
Thanks so much for the quality holster. Will be back as soon as my father decides which pistol he wants to carry.
Great turnaround time in right at 60 days, thirty days sooner than anticipated.
